Charlie Beinlich's Food & Tap was established in 1950, a local tavern built by Glencoe natives Charlie and Eleanor Beinlich. A few years later they introduced a small food menu featuring a few family recipes and some simple sandwiches. Little has changed in this iconic burger joint and it is still run the way Charlie intended it to, with good food and good spirits. Beinlich's, as it's known by the locals, has stayed in the family and is on its third generation of owners. Over the years it has become famous for their award winning old fashion hamburgers and the best shrimp cocktail in town.
